Ruben Parra-Cardona, PhD

Rubén Parra-Cardona, Ph.D. is the inaugural Roger and Carol Nooe Endowed Professor at the College of Social Work, The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Prior to this appointment he was the Associate Dean for Global Engagement at the Steve Hicks School of Social Work and Interim Director at the UT Austin Latino Research Institute, at the University of Texas at Austin. He was funded by NIMH to investigate the treatment efficacy and relevance of two versions of an evidence-based parenting intervention culturally adapted for Latino families with young children. He is currently funded by NIDA to extend this line of research to Latino families with adolescent children. He served as vice-president of the Family Process Institute and is an editorial board member of Family Process and the Journal of Marital and Family Therapy. He also recently served as elected member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Prevention Research. He has extensive experience on research collaborations across the U.S.-Mexico border. Currently, he is Co-Principal Investigator of a large-scale parenting prevention initiative in Chile funded by a large private foundation and the Chilean government.

Jennah Hanson-Daley, MS, LMFT-A

Jennah Hanson-Daley is a current graduate student at Texas Tech University. She is obtaining her Ph.D. in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist- Associate. Her clinical and research interests primarily involve advocating for racial minority youths and working from a trauma-informed perspective. Rose Aucoin, PhD, NCC, LCMHC

Dr. Aucoin holds a doctoral degree in counselor education and supervision. She is a licensed clinical mental health counselor and a licensed clinical addictions specialist in the state of North Carolina. Dr. Aucoin earned a Master Addictions Certification and is a National Certified Counselor. She worked in both private and public non-profit agencies and is dedicated to both researching and serving the needs of practitioners and family members related to living with mental health issues specializing in addiction. Areesha Azam is a second year PhD student at Texas Tech University’s Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy program. She is also a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed at the Associate level in Texas. Ian Hammonds is an LMFT and LPC in the state of Texas where he runs his own practice specializing in LGBTQ+ populations, emotionally-focused couples therapy, and men’s work. Ian is currently pursuing his doctorate in marriage and family therapy from Alliant International University. Ian’s heart is with Texas’ queer population and in making systemic therapy both safe and accessible for all minority populations. Orli Behbouikha, MA, is an MFT trainee and a second-year student at Alliant International University, where she is pursuing her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
